About the Foundation
The MDPI Sustainability Foundation is a non-profit organization governed by Swiss law and registered in Basel, Switzerland. Established in 2012, the Foundation supports societally-relevant research that contributes to regional and global efforts toward a sustainable world.
Foundation Activities
World Sustainability Forum
Among others, the foundation partially sponsors the World Sustainability Forum (WSF), an annual scholarly conference addressing the global challenges of sustainability.
Sustainability Awards
Promoting excellence in sustainability research, the foundation sponsors the World Sustainability Award and the Emerging Sustainability Leader Award annualy.
Publications
Supporting the dissemination of sustainability research, the foundation is affiliated with several sustainability-related MDPI publications, notably the journal Sustainability.
